You might take a look at my ContentDejour module in the Forge/CodePlex. Although this is not designed as a "slide rotator" and has no visual slide effects, it can display any html content based on day(s) of week, time of day, day(s) of month, etc. One of its capabilities is to cycle through multiple items of content (all having the same day, week, month criteria) with each page refresh, either sequentially or randomly.

Note: This module works fine in DNN 6.1.2 with one exception which will be corrected in the next release - the displayed module title does not change based upon the content that is shown.
