I'm sorry to beat a dead horse here but the "updated" snowcovered site is really starting to be a pain in the ass.

What concerns me is that nobody else seems to mind. Which means that either the site works fine and I'm the only idiot who can't figure it out or there is only a hand full of DNN noobs who don't know any better and me using it.

If the filters are not going to get fixed (it's been two months!) can DNN Corp. PLEASE send an email to all developers asking them to post in the Community Annoucements Form on this site when they update a module or release a new one. There is no longer any way to tell on "The DNN Store"

Yesterday I thought I would see if there was a skin that was close to what I needed in order to save time over doing it myself. I had to look through 15 pages of 5 year old skins in order to see 2 more recent designs!  Grrrr.....   I finally gave up.

In addition to the messed up filters the one thing that snowcovered really needed was an updated display of skins. FYI, the main thing that people want to know about a skin is what it LOOKS like - it is a skin after all. So why not display the title, a 250px (min) thumbnail, the price, and a link to learn more.  Three or four across and 10 rows with a pager. Clicking on each listing just to get a general idea of what it looks like is a serious PITA!

I'm not part of the team working on the store so I can't comment on individual issues, but I can say that they are working hard and actually push out weekly updates -they're working through various bugs and requested enhancements as quickly as they can. Improving the store experience is a priority task as it's benefits many users (and also, lets be honest, helps pay our wages) - a poorly performing store benefits noone

Thanks for the feedback Greg.

One of our primary goals as we continue to work on the new Store is to make it as easy as possible for users to locate quality products.

On the skin category pages, we will be including additional filters to facilitate search by skin types, genres, and colors. We also have a roadmap item in place which will allow users to preview skins - via lightbox feature - directly from the list and search results pages.

Another note I should mention is that today, our team pushed an update to the site which makes it easier to determine which are the newest products posted to the Store. All category pages now list products by Published date by default (instead of Last Updated).

Example: http://store.dotnetnuke.com/modules

As well, additional filters have been added to both the category and search pages so that products can now be sorted by sales activity over the previous two weeks (by unit & revenue). The ability to sort by all-time sales activity remains as well.

Thanks Cathal and Bill for the reply and updated information.

The broken filters were the biggest pain so glad they are fixed.

The lightbox previews for skins will be a time saver over going out to designers demo's. Most of those demo sites load really slow. It would still be nice to have larger thumbnails on the list and search results pages so we can quickly scan through the vast number of skins on the site.
