I have a question.  I'm new at this so sorry for not fully knowing.

At home the site works fine but at work something got pushed out and the site only works partly.  as in if i want to add a module and click the change catogory to all and the module list just sits there and never changes to show all modules.  what controls that??

i thought it was my IE and FireFox is doing it too.  so i reinstalled java and still samething.  I know its something that go pushed out at work so im trying to find out what it is so i can fix it or let IT know.

it affects different things like i cant add a module if i try to edit the HTML on it will not save.

any ideas?

Thanks

Did you upgrade the instance before the issue caused? What Version did you use? Did you get error logs (Check EventLog!)

Check your folder and file permissions, IUser must have read permissions (additional if not using dbo schema as databaseOwner you have to set execute permissions), and the Application Pool User must have change, read, execute, delete and write permissions.

Be sure you have set .NET to read and execute permissions.

Be sure you have set both connection strings on the web.config file.

ok thanks..  Im not sure if that will fix it.

As im saying the site works fine from my home computer.  but im trying find out how the admin and host menu works due to its not working from y work computer so i dont think its the site it works but something on my work computer is blocking it and im trying to find out what it is for i can fix it.  i thought the menu was java but i reinstalled it and it doing the same thing.

If i hook up my laptop that is not on the domain at work the site works fine.  but if i use my computer that is on the domain it dont work fully.  so im trying to find out what it is that did this and i can get IT to undo it.

Thanks
