I have a 4.03 installation that is playing hide and go seek with certain new tabs.  I'll create a new page, then add a module to it.  In the last two cases it has been the Wiki and Forum and when I go to configure the module, it shoots me over to the main portal (this is on a child portal).  The navigation at one minute shows the link, then it doesn't.  When it does, and I click it, I get the homepage.  Even from Admin->Pages I can't get to the page, and the list there changes back and forth.  I had been playing with the scheduler cache settings and the work process settings on IIS to reduce the shutdown/startups for the site, but other than that, there is nothing done to the site.  I am the only on on here at the moment, and the DB shows the page just like the others.

Anyone have any ideas on what to check?

Could this be a skin problem? try a different skin?

It is a customized skin - from the default yellow.  I changed the scheduler from time based to event based and it seems to have cleared up for now.  THe next time it does this I will revert to default and see.  I didn't think about the skin - thanks.

I suppose it's possible that time based schedule caused a load on the server (app pool) which may have caused the site not to load entirely. You can look at how long your schedules are taking in each schedule's history. I've found some schedules take forever and time-out, like file synch, and I've never been comfortable with the performance there...

Ahh - the file synch was one I had running - but I have very few files on this install (a QA system).  So have you found a good practice for the file synch (timing/catch up settings) or are you handling manually?
