So if a DNN site has no plans to upgrade in the immediate future (6.0.1 here), what's the solution for people experiencing login issues with IE 10?

we'd always recommend keeping more recent (not least as older versions such as 6.0.1 have known security issues- see security.dotnetnuke.com). However, if you cant move, it might be worth trying adding an x-ua-compatible directive to see if that resolves i.e. tell IE to render as IE9 - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/libra...(v=vs.85).aspx

Changing modes doesn't fix this. The only way is to upgrade. Go to the final version of 6.2.x

If I upgrade to 6.2, which is the best version to fix the IE 10 problem?  I've seen mixed reactions of various versions of 6.2 and have no idea what version would be best to use.  I am running a parent and child portal.  The child requires a login.  The parent does not.  I am afraid to upgrade and risk running into an issue and NOT being able to go back.
