Hi all,

Well it's been fun the past few days. I recently bought a new hosting account and was in the process of moving my DNN sites over, while this is nothing new and things I have done before I did hit a problem. The old hosting account was running SQL 2008, but the new site is running SQL 2012.

Normally I copy all the files over, backup the database and restore is back to a new database with the same name. However it seems as I am going from SQL 2008 to SQL 2012 I am not able to do this. Please can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction on how to move my DNN database over.

The DNN site is running on DNN 06.02.04 (63)

Thanks

Why can't you do the back-up and restore?

SQL Server can handle files from up to 3 previous versions, so you should be able to restore your 2008 files. You could also try using the import data wizard.
