Hello all -

I installed DNN 7.0.2 install version locally and installation went very smooth, no apparently problems. I am getting a runtime page load error when trying to browse to my local site.

The site never loads - the DotNetNuke error page appears with the return to site link.
I pulled this bit of the stack trace from the event log table. I did recently upgrade VStudio 2012 ( update 1 ) and have .NET framework 4.5.5

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.     at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.GetSkin(PageBase page)     at DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage.OnInit(EventArgs e)     at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer)     at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

Before I pull down the source version I thought I might ask if anyone else has seen this or has any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
Paul

How weird. My workhorse 6.01.05 development install began blowing up this evening with the exact same error you have.

I spent most of the evening failing to fix it.

In this case it's just a dev environment. I threw it away, and re-installed from ground zero. Just getting back to where I was 7 hours ago.

If you do track down a cause then I'm curious.

Best wishes,

I have tested the upgrade of DNN 6.2.5 to version 7.0.2 and I fet the same error, PageLoadException, when trying to log in.

I have upgraded before to version 6.2.6 like suggested on wiki and this works fine.
After installed version 7.0.2 and come on this error. Websites work fine untill I don't try to log in.

If anyone has a suggestion to fix it.

Thanks!

We have tried to upgrade DNN v 6.2.6 to 7.0.2 and have the same problem, pageload Exception.

All websites work fine, but when I try to log in I get the pageload exception.

Anyone have an idea to solve?

Thanks!

We have solve this problem changing in

Host -> Host Setting -> Other options -> Control Panel

from "ribbonbar" to "classic" before upgrade to version 7.
After upgrade have restored ribbonbar option and all works fine.

Hope this can help someone! :)

Now I have another big problem:
- create a new website
- go to Admin -> Languages
- if try to open "Enable localized content" we get a blank page with no options

Anyone have the same problem?
