Hi,

I need to find a replacement to host future DNN installs. I'm currently using 3essentials and that no longer offer shared accounts which means the price has doubled, and they charge $2/mo per pop email account in addition to the monthly hosting fee. They use to provide pop accounts with the hosting account... powerdnn.com is too expensive...

So I am looking for some suggestions from the community. Thanks

Hi Todd,

We have used Leaseweb to host Dnn installs on shared hosting and it works pretty good!

The first thing I did was to phone and discuss if it was possible, they looked into it, configured the shared hosting and it works like a charm!

The best thing when looking for another shared hoster for Dnn is to look about and phone them up, discuss your wishes to see if they are capable of hosting a Dnn install.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Geoff

I have 2 sites with winhost and am very happy so far. The performance has been good and I haven't had a single issue. They're probably my favorite host right now although I have to state that I manually set up my DNN sites and do NOT use the auto installer. Just an FYI.

I use Network Solutions but am limited to DNN 6 (due so server requirements).

The painless solutions are PowerDNN (Now Managed.com) and Applied Innovations.

Support from both is prompt, professional, 24/7, and they ANSWER THE PHONE.

I've had success with other, less expensive hosting companies, but none come close in terms of support. So, if you feel comfortable providing your own tech support, you can save a few bucks.

Note: make sure that you have RDP or a Plesk-ish control panel. Not all of the less expensive hosters provide that.
