Hi, I'm very new in DNN
I want to hide control region on register.ascx form.
I can hide another control like Cell, Fax, etc, but only region that always visible. I had try to hide it by setting on address.ascx control, set the visible to false, but still not working.
Try to set it from Form_Load at register.ascx :
      CType(addressUser.FindControl("txtRegion"), TextBox).Visible = False
but still no changes.

Please help me.
Regards

Erwin

In my country where there is no country region, I need to hide the region.

The files is on controls/address.ascx, till now I still can't get any solution.
I'll set txtregion.visible = false from Design, and try to set it with javascript, but it's still not work.
The txtRegion still visible.

I don't know why it's still visible, can someone explain it to me.
Is there's any code to set the visible to false at client side?

Hi, I don't think that you can remove that field unless you purchase a custom registration module (like UCanUse). However, you can make it "not Required" by logging in and editing any of the user account and just removing the checkbox next to the region field. We use the custom registration module from UCanUse and it works very well. We only have a few fields on our registration form and we can add more fields to collect other data also.

I'm not sure how to help you, but you should be able use the language editor to change the label. Maybe collect some other data about your users?

also, You may be having trouble hiding it because the control appears to change when a country other than US is selected. I suspect it's two controls, and you may be hiding only one.
