DNN 7.5 and MVC modules

According to the roadmap, DNN 7.5 is supposed to be released this month and includes the ability to create modules in MVC. Is this still the plan?

It turned out that initial roadmap was a bit too tight.
DNN Platform team is currently working on DNN 7.4.1, which contains a number of important fixes for DNN 7.4.0
Same time, the team is working on 7.5.0, however, due to the the amount of changes to be included, it will be released most likely late in 2nd quarter 2015-

PS: I expect that there will be a beta in a couple of weeks, so 3rd party developers are able to get familiar with the changes.

Hi Sebastian,

Do you know what this means for 8.0? I'm thinking of starting a new major project in DNN. With the complexity of the changes expected with 8, and my admittedly casual time frame, I'm wondering about just waiting to 8 comes out to start fresh.

Any thoughts?

In general http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community/... is the best resource for dates, however it's not accurate at the minute as some of the dates have been tweaked (I believe it's being updated shortly)

Regarding 7.5.0, Sebastian is correct, and we will have an community technology preview (CTP) release 1 out , currently scheduled for March 16th - that will showcase the new ability to create MVC modules in DNN. We'll then work towards CTP2 which will show support for SPA based modules (and other items such as HMAC authentication for remote clients), with a beta scheduled for May 4th. The release will come some period after that (TBD)

As for 8.0, we had planned for Q3 2015, but Microsoft have moved their own dates, so I expect us to move back a little too.
