Please help .. n00b here .. please don't laugh .. ok maybe a little.
First time DNN user, but loving it .
It is my understanding that you can roll back a DNN site.
My site h2hws.com was crashed last week while they were doing upgrades, I lost a months worth of work. I just got my motivation back and started working on the site again , and while uploading changes to the 'slimline' container inthe wizard, I accidentally deleted the main container that was currently in use for the entire site..

And now I'll I see is one big error message. uggghhhh

Is there a way to roll back my site to this morning, with out having to delete the database again ...

thanks in advance

In short...no...unless you've taken a backup, or the host has taken a backup, which can be restored.  There's no equivalent to, for example, a Windows XP System Restore Point built into DNN.

You should be able to fix that problem pretty easily though.  You can still perform the admin operations on the site while that error message is displayed.  Have you tried simply uploading the container which was deleted?

Yes, you only need to upload your container again.

Do you have direct file access (such as by FTP)?  You can replace the container simply by uploading its files directly, instead of by uploading them in the DNN interface.  If it was a host container, it would go into /Portals/_default/Containers followed by the container name and then the files.  You might need to do some work with the files, depending on what files you have for the container.  You'd need the ascx files.  But, if the absence of the container files is indeed the problem, that would solve it.

However, whenever I've encountered that problem the error looks much different than what your site currently is displaying.  Double-check that your connection strings are correct in web.config.  Did they change when your ISP made its changes?
