the access database in 2.1.2 has the extension .resources, to keep it from being downloaded...

furthermore, make sure the asp.net worker process has write access in the root of your website and below

At the website of fck you can see how to include fck editor in an asp.net site. DNN 2.1.2 does not work with an editor provider, so you will have to tweak the editor control yourself (this would be a core change though)

I have downloaded and tried to install 2.1.2 on my webspace. The install files do not seem to have a DotNetNuke.mdb included which I don't quite understand, is my host supose to create this somehow when DNN installs.

At the moment when I try and install I get

Access to the path 'E:\home\site\site.com\verify' is denied.

Also I am guessing 2.1.2 will not include FCKeditor, will I be able to install this on 2.1.2??

Thanks

2.1.2 is the last of the version2 series and is highly stable. It does not include FCKeditor but the free text box editor is quite good. It is possible to interface FCKeditor to version 2 but requires some programming.  The error you are getting is a permission error - if you are on a shared hosting service then the asp.net permissions have not be correctly set by the hosting provider - it is possible to get this error if you attemt to reinstall after the first install errors out. If so then you need to delete a spefic directory from the site - however I think it is more a permission error.

If the provider will not set the permissions correctly and you need to stay on that hosting site then I can provide a quick fix for the problem. email me and I see if I can overcome your problems.

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

Could not find file 'E:\home\site\site.com\Providers\DataProviders\AccessDataProvider\DotNetNuke.mdb.resources'.
