Hi Folks,

We are looking to hire a US based DNN support engineer. Where is a good place to advertise?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris

I am currently creating "Business Continuity" documents for most of my clients and this is a subject I have started looking into.
This could be a very useful thread if other people also post suggestions and recommendations.

Most of my sites are now on PowerDNN and, even if not, my first choice would be to look or ask here.
They link to their DNN Developer http://www.dnndir.com/ from their Find A Vendor link.
Not sure how US centric they are.

In Europe where I am I would also look at http://dnn-connect.org/  - They have a Directory.

I would also suggest that people register here and ask in the forums.

In Europe (UK) putting any DNN keywords into any "IT" job site returns little or no results.

My other advice would be to define exactly what you are looking for.  To me the word developer means able to build modules. For others it means a website manager able to support stakeholders / users and deal with the odd upgrade.

Lastly - Hosting on PowerDNN give a massive advantage to any DNN site operator.  In terms of numbers DNN is not Wordpress.  DNN is somewhat specialist so hosting with people who know DNN provides a high degree of redundancy to clients.  Not wanting to turn this into an ad for them but I have been shocked and amazed at the consistently high levels of service and support since moving sites to them.

If dnndir finds several developer matches who can work on the specified project, who decides who gets the job? On some freelancing sites, there would be bids and the buyer picks a bidder.

On the site is says "Our DotNetNuke experts compile a list of recommended developers who fit your project's needs."

I suppose the question then becomes is the presented list done by humans or RegEx ?

Should be humans. They should mention if this is a free or paid service.
