I have a virgin 7.4.1 install at www.CPQMarket.com with no template, two menu items and have made changes to robots.txt files (User-agent: Googlebot)remove the /js/ and /images/ from being disallowed on robots.txt

and still get message:

Page appears not mobile-friendly

Content wider than screen

Links too close together

Does anyone have a good write up on solving this?

Thanks in advance.

You need a skin that is mobile friendly. The default one isn't.

Thanks Richard

I tried http://dnnskinagility.codeplex.com/ & lost all control, so built the site again with Default Template & the test it is Awesome! This page is mobile-friendly.

The Site Theme: is the same 'Host: Gravity - 2-Col" the same as the no template.

Robots.txt has Disallow: /js/ and /images/ /js/

I added one page & get the same results.

What is different in Default?

Hi Lee:

The default skin is mobile friendly.

I visited your website on my iPhone 6 and it looks great (mobile optimized) and tested it on google mobile friendly test page and it passed (test it yourself)

https://www.google.com/webmasters/too...

I simply do not know why u have blocked the js files being crawled ?

Please find google recommended practice:

"For optimal rendering and indexing, always allow Googlebot access to the JavaScript, CSS, and image files used by your website so that Googlebot can see your site like an average user. If your site’s robots.txt file disallows crawling of these assets, it directly harms how well our algorithms render and index your content. This can result in suboptimal rankings."
