I have scoured all of the Dotnetnuke files without finding anyplace where I can do anything with respect to the SQL Server. The Dotnetnuke 4 book refers to the web.config which seems not to have any thing I can adjust to connect to the SQL Server. When I originally installed SQL Server with Dotnetnuke all of the configuration was handled automatically. Now that our host provider changed the host server and thus the IP Dotnetnuke can't find the SQL Server.  I must say I am at a complete standstill in trying to correct the error. Can anyone suggest where in the Dotnetnuke configuration files can I insure that the IP is correct, if there is such a file.

in web.config there are both connection strings with server and database name as well as login credentials (or integratedSecurity hint)

As Sebastian says today and Joe said on 28August - the connection strings are in Web.config
