If I have a Page Tree Structure, for Example Top Page Level is: Candy, then underneath candy I have some pages named Gum, Candy Bars, Suckers, etc.

  so http://www.candystorex.com/
       http://www.candystorex.com/candy/
       http://www.candystorex.com/candy/gum    etc....

1st question:
If I change the folder name/path name from candy to sweets, will all my children pages get updated automatically and site recognize now the path is:
http://www.candystorex/sweets/gum or will it throw a 404 error?

Also, does DNN provide referential integrity, meaning if I have links on other pages that were for http://www.candystorex.com/candy/gum - will it be automatically updated to the new path?

If you rename a parent page, URL of all child pages will be updated and in addition, for all previous URLs, redirect entries will be created.
Links on other pages will only be updated if stored as page link using internal ID. All links in Full text will still be as before. you may use a tool like Engage F1 to search and replace all occurrences in a database table column.

Sebastian,

I'm only seeing Engage F3 that searches Engage Publish and Text/HTML modules only. Is there another module that's not posted on their site (or were you simply mistaken about searching database columns)?

Mike, you are correct, I mixed it up with Evotiva "Search and Replace" module.

Thanks, Sebastian!  I was actually hoping such a module did exist and you'd point me in the right direction.  ;-)
