Hello,

Happy New Year.  Where is the best place to find a freelance DNN expert in the US?  Elance is great, but majority are overseas.

It really depends on what you are looking for. There are some of us, myself included, that are DNN Partners and we specialize in development with/for DNN.

You can also resort to the general consulting sites, but as you mentioned, it can be hard to find US Based resources if that is what you are looking for. Feel free to email me with questions if you would like as well msellers @ iowacomputergurus.com

There are a couple of very experienced professionals in the DNN community, it is usually helpful to indicate the competences, you are looking for.
