Hi all,

I am preparing to use DNN on a project for the first time.  I have it installed.  I need to get some good links or PDFs to information like:

1. A document that explains in non-technical or semi-technical terms how DNN works.  Especially how containers relate to parts of my website design, panes, modules, etc.  I guess some background info on the whole thing.

2. A list of the standard modules that ship with DNN.

3. Any kind of overview or broad info, then the next layer in of technical info.

Thanks!

I assume you've already seen all the .pdf files in the Documentation package on the downloads page.

There are seome excellent starting points here:

In particular, be sure to check out the first Read More link, to DotNetNuke Online Help!  It's a great overview to help get you started.

As to the list of modules, it has changed recently and depends on your version.  I am not aware of a list, however, you can tell by looking at the Install folder of the install package from the downloads page.  You can also peruse the Projects area on this site.  Every core module is listed on that page, but some of them are not yet installed by default (the Chat module, for example).

Also, you can see which modules are actually installed on your system by going to Host --> Module Definitions.
