For the 8.0.0 instance, I will do it, but for them under 7.4.0 (7.4.2) I tried it several time and I always have an issue on the 7.4.0 (or 7.4.2) step.

No more xxxxxx.asp file or bot.php on my instances.

Everything I have done seems to fix the issue.

I am not using DNN (I'm using Umbraco with web forms) but had the same issue.
Apparently everyone on Arvixe had the same issue, despite them insisting their server is very secure.
I have restored web.config and disabled PHP, but it keeps recreating the .asp file with the "__what_the_fuck_".
I just disabled ASP now, let's see what happens.

you should disable any technology, you are not using.
Make sure, you are using strong passwords for FTP, if enabled.
