I recently went through the process of adding a free SSL cert to one of my DNN sites using Let's Encrypt.  It was a little more involved than I had thought it would be, so I've detailed the process in hopes of helping anyone else who wishes to do the same.

Hi Justin and Sebastian. I've been fighting with SSL certificates for quite some time and I thought my problems were finally solved when I came across Justin's page.
Unfortunately for some obscure reason my DNN installation (version 07.04.02) crashes whenever I try to change the urlFormat parameter to anything but "searchfriendly".
With advanced it throws a catastrofic error - white page with the blue return to website button that obviously does not return you to your website, while the humanfriendly parameter shows the website but you can only see the module titles, all the content is gone for some strange reason.

I'm quite stuck at the time and clueless about what to do next. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Edoardo

Forgot to say that I'm running my DNN application under Windows Server 2012 and IIS 8 so I suppose I should not need the hotfix
