Hi Guys,

I keep on seeing this General Exception under Log Viewer, I have set proper permission to the application pool user and everything, not sure what's happening. Any help is much appreciated.

please make sure there is no other software accessing the files, e.g. virus scanners or backup software.
Besides, check permission of the ASP.NET identity, configured in advanced settings of the IIS app pool used. It needs permission to edit and delete files.

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for your response. Are you talking about the permission of the dnn files?? if so, I have already added a new user(apppool) with full control permission.

yes, I am referring to file system permissions - you need to grant permission to AppPool/[appPoolName], if you are using app pool identity.
