Hi

I am not sure what i did, but my host login password no longer works :-(

I am definatley using the correct password, but i am not sure if i somehow deleted the host super user account (is that even possible?)

If you do not have a host login password, is there a way to get it back or create another host account via FTP or some back end way?

I am sitting with a half developed site that i can now no longer access the back end.

I am working in DNN 7

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

do you have access to the database?
you may check the users table, whether it still contains your host account.
A reason for a password not to be accepted might be an altered machine key in the web.config file - DNN changes it in some cases, when it is unable to access the database. Do you have a backup of the file to compare?

i suppose i would have access to the database via ftp?
However, i am not really familiar with databases and database table etc
i have an older backed up version of the web.config file but again, would need direction as to where to look?

would i please be able to send you a personal message and give you access to check it for me?

for the database you need remote access using either SQL Server Management Studio or an online tool provided by your hosting company, please contact them about the options they offer. Regarding web.config search for "MachineKey" and compare the values.
