I have a main nav item that has sub items. I'd like to disable the main item so that it only allows hover so you can access the sub items, but not allow the main item to be clicked.

I saw somewhere that the disable page has been removed in DNN 9 and tried setting the flag in the DB, but haven't had any luck.

Anybody have a workaround?

Justin,

when you set it in the DB, you have to set the value of the field DisableLink (in the table Tabs) to 1 (I guess that is what you have done, just in case someone else with the same problem is reading this). Then you have to restart your application pool from Settings :: Servers (there is a button on the top right) or clear the cache (I think restart Application is safer). Reason: The cache does not recognize changes made in the database when they are not made via the API.

Happy DNNing!

Michael,

That did the trick.

You filled in the gap with the info on restarting the app pool.  Once I did that it worked perfectly.

Thanks!
