Hi all,

I am currently rebuilding a site on a fresh copy of DNN 8.0.4.
The old site had been upgraded through every release since DNN 6.0 and when you created a new page it listed the urls as "/somethingorother.aspx"
So I decided to clear the cobwebs with a brand new install of DNN 8.0.4 but when I create new pages the urls are stripped to "/somethingorother".
At some point this behavior would have been introduced to DNN but I missed it.
Any way of making the urls work to include the file extension. eg. "/somethingorother.aspx"
Any help greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards
Trevor

I had one once, but the wheels fell off !!!

The extensionless URLs is indeed a newer feature and is a default feature for any new DNN site (or any other new site on any other platform). The extension missing is not a bad thing. If you were to use the extensions with the pages, you'll find that they're correctly redirected to the extensionless URL variant, but now the URL's are much more SEO- and human-friendly. I'd suggest not trying to "fix" this issue, even though there's a way to do it.

I agree with Will and DNN should redirect any "page.aspx" call to "page" automatically.
