Hi,

I have written a module very similar to the contacts module. I add it to my 4.3 portal using the install/mymodule.dnn file. Thats works fine. When I add the module to a page and give it registered user view and edit rights I do not see the data. I also do not see it perform a database request for it using the SQL Profiler. It gets the module permissions but it does not seem to load my page load event from the module view control.

I am able to see and edit the data fine as an administrator. I can see the data in the datagrid in the view control when only allowing the registered to view it. Its when both view and edit are checked that I don't even see the datagrid.

Has anyone encountered this? I have searched my code for hours and cannot see the problem and followed all best practices.

thanks,

Tom

OK I have more information on this...It happens when I install under IIS and SQL 2005. When I install under the VS web server and use the SQL desktop database the edit and view function filtering works fine.

Under IIS an SQL 2005 it does not render the my module when view and edit are checked for a registered user.

help........! I need to install under SQL 2005 and IIS!

Tom
