If I'm not wrong, DNN had a Banner project and Vendor project earlier. What have become with them? How do I handle banners in DNN 4.3.4?

You just need a skin with the banner object on it. Same as before, unless I missed a change.

The default blue skin that DNN comes with has it.

Most other skins do too.
Look for these lines in the skinname.ascx file :

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="BANNER" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Banner.ascx" %>

<dnn:BANNER runat="server" id="dnnBANNER" />
