Hello everyone,

I am very new to web developing and my company wants to deploy a intranet but we dont have a developer. I need to get books on how to do it all. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on books to get to basically start with no knowledge and step it up to customization and building custom pages, skinning, modules. I would like to propose this solution for out IT Dept and use it to sell the concept the the rest of the Company. So it has to be the best thing since sliced bread and i want to be the guy to give it to them. We have 2 engnieer that like to sell the company on MS stuff which cost an arm and a leg so i really want to show them that is it possible to have and open source platform that is stable and can do more than its courtner parts. any thoughts.?

Steve
