Well there's a seperate thread on this exact same issue, but we've traced it to some weird conflict between FTB and the language packs - the common feature over in the other thread is that we have all installed language packs.

No-one seems to listen to our problems anymore - I've been banging on about this since Aug 5th. Is anyone from the core team reading these posts?

Here's the other thread.

No language packs installed here.

You right, no one seems to listen and the forums are all but useless.  It is amazing that multiple peopel can be having issues with the core and yet no one seems to have any ideas as to why or will even respond.  Very concerning.  Since the forums moved from asp.net they have becoming very poor feedback wise imho.

We put our second 4.3.x project  project online friday. Still haven't encountered any unexplained object reference errors. Our older 4.0.x projects also do not have unexplained error messages in the logviewer.

All those projects are running core modules + homebrew. All of them have at least the Dutch language installed, some of them have French too.

The latest project uses some more external code, FCK editor + Appollo's MLhtml. This project even uses the core forums wich I have restrained from using in the past, but sindce it is only for moderators on this site I used it. It all runs fine even tough I expected trouble.

The only thing that bothers me are the frequent app restarts even tough I use a *pinger* to keep it alive (4-7 restarts on a day, wich are 3-6 too many)

They all use SQL2000 on separate machine in our rack as database. All our OS'es are Windows SERVER 2003. All our software is English language on the hosted machines.

EDITED for more info on projects.
