Hi,

We're having a problem with the file manager not working.  This is a site that was upgraded to 3.3.4 from 3.3.2.  The FM display's the inital file screen, but none of the actions work.  We're getting the following javascript error "dnn.controls.controls[m_sDNNTreeID] has no properties".  The FM did work before the upgrade, so I don't think that it's a permission problem.  I have uploaded the full release versions of the files in the admin/files directory and the js directory to see if that would fix the issue, but, no luck there.

Anybody know how to fix this?  My client really nees the file manager to work.

Thanks,

GregC

bump...
I've searched all over the forums, using my best guesses for keywords and all I found is that several other people have run into this problem with 3.3.x version of DNN.

One person suggested uploading the latest documents module, so I tried that and it did not work.

I've spent a few hours pulling the Javascript apart and I can't track the error down there.

The behavior I consistantly get is-

Using explorer 6 or firefox 1.5 and logged in as admin or as host, on the filemanager screen:

1) Expanding the folders tree and clicking on a folder gives an "dnn.controls.controls[m_sDNNTreeID] has no properties" error

2) Filling in the folder input and clicking on the
"Add Folder" link generates an "txtNewFolder1 has no properties" error.

3) Checking a file and clicking copy or move gives an "dnn.dom.getById(m_sUCPrefixID + "txtFilter") has no properties" error.

4) Clicking Upload refreshes the screen

5) Synchonize works (I think)

6) Did not test delete (I have live docs in there)

There seems to be some misbehaviour in dnn.dom.getById, but I can' t track it down.

So I'm guessing that this is a bug and I should go log it in the bug system (though I've never done that before and have no idea how to do it).

And core members or super DNN wonks reading this and have some help?   My client is very eager to start loading content and this problem is a show killer.  I will be setting them up with FTP connectivity today so they can start working, but, in general I'd rather that they just have access to the docs area using the file manager.

Thanks!

GregC

Additional findings -

Synconize does not work.  I added a new directory for "documents" using my FTP program, it synchonize and nothing.

I've also learned that the folder's treeview will expand, but, will not contract... very strange.
