I'm a little confused here...  You're talking about getting IE 7.0 to work, and then talking about how it's throwing an error durring the build...  Individual clients should not effect how code builds, code has to be built and completely executed before a response can be sent to the client (IE7.0)  Problems to do with a client have to do with client side scripting, or graphical presentation.  An example of how IE 7.0 might break DNN is no longer having the ability to drop down the nav menu, or localization not working, or content not displaying in the appropriate place...  Could you try to explain what you mean?

Nick:

I installed the final release of IE7 yesterday and have been doing major testing on DNN sites that cover versions from 1.0.10 to 4.3.5 and IE7 has worked flawlessly with all of them, including administrative tasks. I don't know if others have uncovered any problems though. Your problem may be something else, I tested IE7 against sites that were stable before the test.

Well, I'm going to try and install again, but now the link for the downloads only gives me a site that is in Kent, UK?  Then it tries to redir but the page is not able to come up.  Anyone know what's going on?

There is definitely something phishy going on with your installation, I would recommend you run virus detection, trojan detection, etc. etc. etc. And don't forget to run multiple tools like Symantec's, Trendmicro, AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and of course MS Windows Defender, you can do all these for free. One thing you could check right away is your Hosts file, sometimes trojans or other malware will overwrite it to screw up your DNS resolution and block you from getting to the sites you need to help fix or alleviate the problem. Look for entries that point known commercial domains and URLs to 127.0.0.1, only "localhost" should be there (unless you have made entries of your own).

And just in case, make sure you have all patches and service packs installed, including those for MS Office if you use it.

Good luck.

I have done every check I can think of, removed, redownload, and reinstalled DDN, upgraded to the Final release of IE7, but still I get this:

I am totally lost here.  Running 4.0.3 before I lost my harddrive, I was able to install this with no problem, now I cannot get the last step working.

Please, anyone.... help?
