Looking to develop a website around a holiday home. Client needs ability to show an "availabilty Calendar" 12 month view (over 3 year total) showing booked and available dates.

In the Admin end or via a Client login, website owner can update calendar and keep a record of person who has booked the dates. (Nice to have is a status or flag (reserved, deposit paid, fully paid))

The standard DNN events module does not quite allow this and would need some modification. Similary I checked out snowcovered but all the event booking solutions are actually over engineered for this.

Anyone got any ideas on how to find a solution? Or know anyone that can help?

John

PS solution needs to be DNN 4.0 compatible.

have a look at CataLook, AFAIK they announce their product as suitable for this application, though I haven't teted it.

Thanks for responding. Had a look at Catalook, but could only see full e-commerce solutions. Thanks anyway.

Hmm, on catalook.net it states, that the the Pro Version is suitable for

"Rentable products You can rent hotels, cars, tools and other items. Add periods when the product should be available. Option to control how many items are available for booking. In this case the available stock appears on each day in the calendar. If a customer choose a period, he can only select a number of items which are minimal available in the selected period. If you rent rooms or holiday houses you can choose to not include the until date. This will be better to understand for customers. If they book [from date] [until date] the day of [until date] will not be included and not charged. The system is looking 200 days ahead to choose automatically the month where the first free date is available. You can search for available rentable products on use of the search module: Sample Item"

Um, This looks like something I could use. I did not know Catalook would do this and it may work very well for a need we have to book our conference center.
