Hi Bruce,
If you're interested, would you send me an email about hosting?

I host my site there and have 2 of my customer sites there and speed has not been a problem.  The main reason for speed issues at WH4L you will find at any hoster is that the first visitor to your site has to precompile all the code.  If you set up some sort of monitoring every 10-15 minutes the speed issues go away.  For small sites this is a bigger issues since more user end up having to wait for the compile.  WH4L customer support is great and when I have had problems they have resolved all of them in a timely matter.  As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.  WH4L is not without it's negative and is not perfect, but you cannot beat the price.  In addition, for the price the hosting and services is very good and I consider it above expectations.  For sites that are on a budget WH4L is a good choice, for other sites that do not have a limited budget I have heard all good things about PowerDNN.  It all depends on how much you are willing to pay and the expectations of the service you will get.  For 10.00 a month you will not get the speed/uptime PowerDNN can give you, but then again you are only paying 10.00 a month.  Plus, at WH4L you can earn referral fees and with 4-5 referrals you can basically get your account paid for.  I have not paid for my hosting since joining them 3 years ago.

Sorry - you correctly pointed out my mistake. I meant to put Megs of ram, not K.

You are right in your assesment of MaximumASP and DNN's ram requirements. They are not as supportive to the DNN community as I wish they were. In the end we've purchased our own software and backup systems (Acronis) and it's been an expensive and time consuming venture.

However, our sites are very fast with DNN. You just got to feed and take care of it correctly.
