I'm going to show my ignorance and ask a question which is probably obvious.  In the DNN file manager if you edit a file it shows the file attributes of r,h,s,a which can be checked or unchecked.  To what specifically do each of these refer?  I'm used to read/write attributes, but don't understand if/how these correspond.  Can someone kindly enlighten me on this?

the attributes are file system attributes, that have no effect on the usage in DNN (IMO these check boxes can be dropped from the filemanager). File permissions are set per folder in the check boxes at the end of the page.

It looks like I have to set every folder's View and Edit permission, is there a way to set a default set of permission? or apply to all folders?

Currently whenever a new folder is created, the permission need to be set by Administrator.

Thanks.

I also would like to know if there is a way to set up the default permissions on a folder after it is created.
