Hopefully this is an ok place to drop this suggestion, but the text created for banner links could be made more efficient if an non-tradional word was used to create the link. The reason: browsers and other tool filter for ad content with a large range of regex and currently "banner" is an easy target. Maxthon, an amazing browser, is a great example of this, as it out-of-box will eliminate many dnn-based ads and links and icons. Create a simple icon and call it add.gif and it gets blocked.

An example from dotnetnuke.com is: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Admin/Vendors/BannerClickThrough.aspx?BannerId=143&VendorId=80.. if this were http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Admin/Vendors/BnrClkThrough.aspx?BnrId=143&VendorId=80n it would make it thru..

just a thought, thanks kindly, drew..

Then again there are those of us who like having the "fluff" filtered out.

Then again, since this site and forums typically related to developers who are creating and presenting sites to end-users, you should consider doing everything you can to present ALL you create, and not be content with simple filtering lessening your effort. If you read all my post you would have noted the part about even add.gif as in icon being filtered out.. Not what we need when it is easy to rename the source and avoid this.
