I have upgraded from DNN3 to DNN4 and when i try and upload a new module i get this error

can some help me out please

This could be because you did not copy over the settings from your old web.config into the new web.config, or you are trying to use your original web.config...something like that.  Settings to transfer would be SQL login info,  machine key, and any custom modules/providers that may have put an entry in there.

I had a similar error ehen trying to upload a new module after same uppgrade.

I dont remember the file that was causing the errror , maybe an old file aspnetmenuskinobject.dll .

What I did to solve it was to temporary remove all old dll's in the bin directory and put one after one back to figure out the wrong one.

Hiya Guys,

what i did was roll back to the .net version 1.1 and this seem to have soveled park of the probelm.

but i will look into what you two guys have said and i thank you for your help.
