Is DNN 3.3x going to be the last upgrade for asp.net 1.1 users?

Yes, it would be nice to hear from the core team in reagards to this matter.  There are a number of orgainization are still using .Net 1.1.

As ASP.Net 2.0 is out now for about a year, I would not expect a DNN version 3.4.0 released. The core team already switched developement to DNN 4 and while updating DNN 3 need additional effort for maintanance this will be drop to save capacity for other development tasks. Next version will focus on performance improvement specifically for ASP.Net 2.0, i.e. DNN3 would not benefit from it much if applied.

IMO DNN 3.3.6 is the most stable DNN 3 and a good platform for all those not willing or able to follow moving to ASP 2.0.

Cheers from Germany,

I would love to see a one stop resource, provided by the core team, on upgrading to 4.x. Reasons for upgrading, steps for upgrading, third party /custom module upgrading,etc... . I think this would help a lot of users jump ship to .Net 2.0. The faster you can get people switched, the better. So why not activley promote it?

This is great news Leupold - I hope you are right - I still get one or two customers on 3.x but the majority have moved on and the improvements in ASP.NET 2.0 are awesome...

Um... I still have to upgrade Smart-Thinker at some point ;)   (3.2.0)
