I want to stop the behavior of edit-in-place for text/html modules in my portal. I don't like how if I click on a module the admin can then edit it. I have some controls with form elements in them and it makes it impossible for the editor to use the form. I can't find any setting for this behavior. Is it something in the web.config?

there have been instructions in Philipp's Blog here on DotNetNuke.con ~2 months ago.

Cheers from Germany,

is the link. It is instructions to change the source and recompile the text/HTML module.

Sorry about the previous version of this post with the bogus link. I guess I'll have to plead temporary insanity on that one.  Our friend was very gracious to point to the correct link without ridiculing me.

This is a slightly better link and deals directly with text/html.

Leupold, please, please, please for the future, if you mention anything in the blogs or in the forums include a link.  The search function on this website is miserably terrible that without a link I wouldn't even try to find anything.

There should be (but isn't) a checkbox under host settings that makes it easy to disable this... and drag and drop too. While they are kinda cool, they also can make it easy to mess things up and I find myself doing some unexpected things... not to mention my less tech-savvy clients.
