We've created a site for our local Boy Scout unit and would like to solicit constructive feedback from the DNN community.  We really want this to be a site our boys and parents want to use and would appreciate constructive feedback.  The site is www.unit193.org.  We've had some help from a few of DNN developers and even our host provider. Since we are a charitable non-profit organization, we plan to give appropriate credit in the near future as we will with anyone who contributes to our project.  It's not fastest but we had two real bad experiences with blowery compression so we're not compressing at this time.  Thanks in advance for your help!

I moved this post to this thread since it seems more generalised - as it appears you have installed a commercial skin that is quite popular, with some colour enhancements..

In reference to the speed and performance, I can only give high praises to the http://www.snapsis.com Page Blaster which I use on all my sites.  I think you will find that many people who have used this product have nothing but praise for it's performance.

What sort of feedback are you after? content? containers? skins? colours? navigation? amount of data on each page?

Sometimes it helps if you present some of the challenges you had, and thought you found solutions for, and then ask for feedback that is more specific, since I have found that asking people's opinions is like asking 'how long is a piece of string' - everyone has their own views and opinions, some of which are not really helping you further fine tune your project.

I wish you lots of luck with this move forward using DotNetNuke - it seems to be a good choice for many companies and organisations and you have put alot of effort into making it a very diverse and full website.

I guess we would like some feedback regarding content as far as amount, types, and presentation.  Ideas regarding navigation and colors would be helpful.  Our target audience is primarily our youth members as well as their parents.  So any suggestions as to modules that may make the site more usefull or functional would be great. We're really seeking suggestions for possible improvement and not necessarily criticism and negative comments.

Our challenge is to create a useful environment and not just another billboard on the highway.  Thanks to the help of a few companies and individuals (whose work you may recognize on the site and who we owe a huge load of thanks!) we feel like we're making progress.  But we still have a way to go so we thought it might be helpful to solicit input from the experts here in the DNN coomunity.

Performance is also one of our challenges.  Unfortunately we must not understand when and where to exclude things as well as when to enable and disable compression. So we're one of the groups of folks who have learned the hard way how to re-install with efficiency!  I personally am almost afraid to try anything until 4.4....?

Thanks for the response and questions.
