Does anybody know of a quiz module sitiing around somewhere  ?  - I was going to start in on one not really that hard a project but thought someone may have something setting around or I may have missed a module or project somewhere

Sadly no. I think this is quite surprising.

I asked about this a while ago. I really need something to generate tests for members of a professional organisation for certification. There's a couple of rather dusty looking offerings on snowcovered.

Tell me what kind of Quiz things you were wanting - I cant imagine this is a huge demand product (except for special needs) but it strikes me its a lot like the Survey module with different storage requirements

Tell me about your certification program I (meaning my company) is getting ready to roll out a training service that you might be interested in

The tests would be very much like software certification tests such as MCP. The major difference being that some questions will require written answers, others will be multiple choice.

Basically, the user must log in to take the test. The test should be timed.

The module generates a predefined number of questions from a set of cotegories in random order (possibly ordered by category ie 3 random questions from 5 in first category, then 5 from 10 in second category and so forth as defined by admin.)

The written answers will require marking by admin. So after the test there should be notification to an admin that the test is ready to be marked.

Results to be stored by user in the system.

Admin functionality required to edit, update and delete questions, as well as marking the written answers.
