I'm holding out for the first 4.4.1 point release.  Anybody have any idea when it's coming??

Probably not for at least a 3 weeks. They usually announce when the release candidate is available for platinum members. After the platinum members get it, then it usually two weeks (barring major bugs) until a general public release. The core team has done a magnificent job recently at releasing updates. It seems like the velocity has really picked up.

the next update will contain a huge number of fixes, have a look at the issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com, the coding phase has not been closed yet. Afterwards, internal tests are needed, following by the first beta build to be presented to the platinum benefactors. The beta phase is scheduled for usually 2 weeks, but it depends on the issues discovered, how quick the final release can be presented to the public.

Looking at the support change log I see that the process for collecting fixes has begun for 4.4.2.  Does this mean the code has been locked for 4.4.1 and is or soon to be in beta and then release assuming all goes well?

Thanks!
