I have just installed DNN 4.4.0. As soon as the home page uploads, I receive the message 'Done but with errors on page'.When I view the details, it tells me "Error: 'dnn' is undefined".

This prevents me from using many of the functions on the page.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Yes, I managed to find a solution. In another forum I read of someone who had problems uploading images to his site, and someone offered him this solution, which worked great for me:

Log on as host to your site, then in the host menu choose 'Host Settings'. Inside the host settings change the performance settings so that compression and whitespace filter are disabled.

This should help.

Good Luck!

I changed the performance settings like you said, but it does'nt work!

It's an annoying  error: "A Runtime Error has occured. Do you wish to Debug? Line:894 'dnn' is not defined.

And in debug I have:

892 function $()

893 {var ary = new Array();for (var i=0; i++) {var arg = arguments[i];var ctl;if (typeof arg == 'string')ctl = dnn.dom.getById(arg);elsectl = arg;if (ctl != null && typeof(Element) != 'undefined' && typeof(Element.extend) != 'undefined') //if prototype loaded, we must extend the objectElement.extend(ctl);if (arguments.length == 1)return ctl;ary[ary.length] = ctl;}return ary;

894 }

895 //--load namespaces

896 __dnn_m_aNamespaces[__dnn_m_aNamespaces.length] = new dnn_util();
