I modified the template via Module Settings (to hide publishdate etc). Unfortunately, if we display this module on all pages, the instances load a default template (probably from SharedResources.resx?)

Is it possible to modify the template for alle instances of the module directly in the module settings? SharedResources.resx ist very confusing becaus of  HTML characters like < >

you can modify the default template for all instances of a single portal by using the language editor in Admin menu, navigate to localResources > DesktopModules > Announcements and check out the files. Any modifications will be preserved during upgrades.

This is great -- Can the changes then be applied through all existing instances, as I have (the same) announcements module appearing on each page?

Thanks for your thoughts.

the default template comes from the resource file, so you can change it there (sharederesources.resx from the announcements module)

regrettably this is only true for new module instances, if you have existing instances you need to change them manually from the module settings (use load default to load the value from the resource file)

if you feel up to it you can do it in the database as well...

Thanks for your reply Erik -- I had indeed resorted to the manual approach of going to each page and using 'load default' -- but as I had 20 pages to do I got a bit grumpy about it.. :-)
