 Hi All,

At current the announcement module gives us the option of "read more" for each announcement added and on clicking the "read more" it takes us to the "link type" we have specified in settings for that particular announcement.

Is it possible to configure the announcement module such that there is  a "View more announcements" ( not "read more" link and on clicking the link we will be able to see all the other announcements in a separate page. and there on from the listing on the announements page we can click on announcements listing to see its description in another page. Like the one in this site http://harvardpress.com ( Mentioning the site for an example)

Does this functionality needs to be customized on the announcement module or are there any customized thiry party DNN module for this functionality which can be purchased.. Appreciate any immediate response. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Sri

I accomplished this type of functionality using the method outlined in this thread:

www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/t...

Then add a link in either the XSL or the module header/footer via the settings that points to the Announcements page with no query string.  I mention this in step 12.

Thanks, looks good, but I am having one trouble with it, when I try to use the [ITEMID] token, it replaces the token with an empty string. E.g. when I write into the item template something like this: 'a href="page.aspx#[ITEMID]">Ann. no.: [ITEMID]' it renders just 'a href="page.aspx#">Ann. no.:'

 In the template (/DesktopModules /News/Transformations/Default.xsl) my href look like this:

<a href="{link}" target="_main">

It’s in the “Announcements Settings” of the Announcement module where you use the token like:

<div id="ITEMID[ITEMID]">

Essentially all that’s happening in my example is there is a standard News Feed (RSS) module that is consuming the news feed from the Announcement page within the same portal.  When you click on the standard link provided via the news feed module, it should point to the page with the ID in the querystring already.   The Announcement page is where the querystring is read and through the magic of jQuery, the Announcement Module list is filtered.
