Wondering if anyone has come across this issue before.

I have an announcements module on a news page and a copy of it on my homepage.

I set the homepage version to show current and set the days to 30. The news page module is set to show all.

If I view the site as a regular user, the home page announcements module shows all, not current announcements. If I login as admin., it shows only current announcements on the homepage.

If I modify one of the announcements and set it's expirey to a past date and update, the homepage announcements go back to only showing current for regular users. But this only lasts until I view the site again and then it goes back to showing all?

Any ideas what is going on?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same behaviour, it might be a problem with moduleId vs. tabId caching. I have written about it at Eric's forum: http://apollo-software.nl/Forum/tabid/163/aff/3/aft/1415/afv/topic/language/en-US/Default.aspx

But there is no solution yet..

How do you turn off the cache for the announcemements module?

I've tried to do it but the module keeps resetting it'self to inherited but it doesn't say where it is inherited from!

Without this the module is useless.

Any ideas?

Cheers

From a default install you should be able to look at the page settings of the module itself and set it to 'File' based cache with a duration of '0', any other cache setting and it seems to reset itself back to file/30!
