Hi All,

I'm trying to use the Anouncements module to display upcoming events (with expire date etc) and syndicate them out, but when setting the default view to "future" the module doesn't display anything when browsing anonymously (it does display the correct content when logged in).

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this, and if not what alternatives might be out there?

Thx in advance!
Rgds - M.

PS: I messed around with the Events module a bit, but it's to "heavy" - calendar graphics etc. All I want to do is display a short message about the event and a link ...

Marcus,
The Future/Expired/All choices only change what is displayed for a user with EDIT permissions on that module.  It has no effect on the display for visitors with View permission only.
(Early versions of the Announcements module didn't have any way for an editor to access expired or future announcements.)

Mike,
thx for the quick reply - I figured the module was not intended for that use.
Would you know of/could you recommend any alternatives for my use case?

Thx again - M.
