This information about Default View is INCORRECT.

"Default View: you can select which view is visible for regular users (with no edit rights for this module).Tip: if you put a copy of the same module on a different page, this will allow you so easily make available archived/expired items"

It needs to be:

Default View: you can select the starting view for users with EDIT permissions for this module. Users with VIEW permissions will only ever be able to see CURRENT announcements.

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm not sure if this is an error in the documentation or a "bug", but for now I changed the text as it's the current behaviour.

I'll ask Erik what he thinks about it :-)

Timo,

This is the way the module has behaved since that feature was introduced.  The type of behavior that you indicated is the behavior that many people assume happens (and often, want to occur).

 I know.
To be honest I only copied the modules help text straight to codeplex, because I was annoyed about the fact that the help link is not visible in DNN6 & 7.
The help text was written by Erik himself, which is why I asked him if it's a bug or an error on the help text..
