I have modified the table and stored procedures to use ntext.  Are the modifications that need to be made to the source files as well?

Everything is working fine now.  I guess it was a cache issue, because the ntext fixed the problem.

Hi ! I had the same problem and I would like to add more caracters to the announcement module. I modify the description field to ntext in the sql server but I add new announcements but still the limmitation.

Other thing I would like is that for big texts a [more] link appears but in this moment never shows it

any idea?

Did you modify the "AddEvent" and "UpdateEvent" stored procedures?  They each have @Description nvarchar(2000), which should be modified to @Description ntext.
