Hi. I can not get the link link in html to get a file from portals/0/myfile.pdf  The result is a unknown page. Is this by design? or should it work?  I'm using DNN 4.4.0 and the lates version of Annoucement module.

Regrards,  Jarmo

I had similar problems with jpegs.
I turned off compression (Host > advanced settings > Performance options)
and white space filtering.
That solved all my (jpeg) problems.
The core team knows about these problems and they are working on it I think.

Just for information it also cause Excel spreadsheets to be reported as corrupt. When I followed Timo's advice it fixed the problem too.
Cheers, John
