Hi guys, sorry, this is probably really simple. I have installed and really like the DNN project version (01.100.07). In investigating an issue regarding folder permissions for users to upload images, I discovered the latest version from FCK themselves downloadable from sourceforge (2.3.2).

So, are they different? And is the sourceforge version actually a later version (that may have this problem fixed)? I haven't tried to install 2.3.2, so don't know if this is even feasible.

My installation is 4.3.7 in a hosted environment.

Regarding the numbers please note, that 1.0.7 is the number of the DNN editor provider (that includes a recent version of the editor) while 2.3.2 is the number of the fckEditor itself. If you want to migrate to the latest version of the editor, you might need to adopt the provider (source is available from download page as well) using VS2003.

Many thanks leupold. I understand the need for different version numbering. Do we know what version of the actual editor is in 1.0.7? Just curious so I can work out if it is worth investigating further.

look into Mauricio's Blog: "The 01.00.07 version fixes a lot of bugs and includes the new FCKeditor (2.3.2) which fixes a lot of bugs too. "
