hi at all,

when i insert an image with fckeditor i get a wrong path.
i only get "/portalname/Portals/0/aspnet.gif" for example.
where can i set the root path( e.g. http://www.domain.com)?

i will hav the whole path to the image in des sourcecode.
for example: http://www.domain.com/portalname/Protals/0/aspnet.gif

i have found on the custom options page the setup for "full image path" but thats
not the problem i think.

sorry for my bad english!

thanks galaxy

You are not getting a wrong path. This is a correct "relative" path and this is very useful when changing the domain name. If the complete path is included you will have to change each path manually.

FCKeditor provider supports full URL. Just activate it inside the custom editor options.

Hi,

Perhaps related to this, I have uploaded my DNN 4.4.1 install (which uses the latest FCKeditor provider downloaded from the DNN site) to my hosting provider from my local machine.

On my local machine, the site is running under a virtual directory (http://localhost/dotnetnuke) but on my hosting provider's site, where it is installed to the root of the domain, the paths to all of the images I inserted using the Text/HTML module and FCKeditor are broken.

The paths to the images look like:  http://<domainname>/dotnetnuke/path_to_my_images/...

i.e. the name of the virtual directory on my local machine ("dotnetnuke") has been retained, when it should not form part of the relative path to the images.

Is there a way round this?

Many thanks,

Matt

FYI: You can use the excellent tool, IISAdmin (search google for it) to setup multiple root level websites on your XP machine.
Just add the domain name to your hosts file and you are set.

ie. add the following to your c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts   file.
        127.0.0.1   Mydomain

One note:  Since I am behind a proxy at work I needed to add an exception to my proxy settings in my browsers.  This in under the advanced tab.
